Caltrans Division of Local Assistance has created online on-demand training to provide local agencies assistance with procuring architectural and engineering consulting contracts. The online training is broken down into 5 modules which follow the 5 steps of the procurement process. Modules 1-3 have been completed and are available on our training webpage now. Modules 4 and 5 are currently being recorded and will be available shortly.

This online training is adapted from the 8-hour classroom training offered by Caltrans Local Assistance and the Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP) Center. The move to online training modules allows the viewer to focus on the complete process or the individual step of immediate concern, at their convenience. These modules range from .5 hours to 1.5 hours based on complexity of step.
The 8-hour classroom training will still be available periodically.
