High Friction Surface Treatment Open House and Demonstration

The Tulare County Road Department, Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), Caltrans Division of Local Assistance/California LTAP Center, and American Civil Constructors, is hosting an open house to demonstrate the construct ability of high friction surface treatments (HFSTs) for reducing crashes at intersections.

Please join us May 11 at the Resources Management Agency Headquarters from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm.

Participants will learn how pavement friction is critical for ensuring that vehicles remain in their lanes, and how HFSTs should be considered for curves, intersections or ramps with numerous wet weather crashes or with higher known operating speeds.

This open house requires a $10.00 admission fee, and you must email your contact information to californialtap@cce.csus.edu by May 8th in order to register. Click here for more details.
