Join the Active Transportation Resource Center (ATRC), in collaboration with Caltrans, for a new training course on Bicycle Transportation: An Introduction to Planning and Design. This hands-on course challenges you to explore the tools used to assess and evaluate the suitability of a transportation route and facilitate its use by all types of bicyclists. Participants will learn how to apply bicycle design concepts that best balance competing needs on a specific route. Current policy related to the future of active transportation will be discussed, and some visit supporting design documents will be identified.
