Local HSIP Cycle 8 Call for Projects Announced

The Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) is a core federal-aid program for the purpose of achieving a significant reduction in fatalities and serious injuries on all public roads. On May 9, 2016, Caltrans Division of Local Assistance announced HSIP Cycle 8 Call for Projects. The deadline to submit applications for this Call for Projects is Friday, August 12, 2016. The call size is approximately $150 million of federal HSIP funds. The applicants must be cities, counties or tribal governments federally recognized within the State of California.

Webinar on HSIP Cycle 8 applications – On Thursday, May 19, 2016, Caltrans and FHWA will host a webinar to help local agencies in preparing quality HSIP Cycle 8 applications. Details on the webinar can be found here.
