UC Berkeley, Tech Transfer is offering the Load and Resistance Factor Design (LRFD) Methodology for Bridges course for the first time in 2 years. This is a two-day hands-on training course that combines lectures, class exercises on real-world bridge design problems, class discussions, and Q&A. This course is recommended for bridge engineers and technicians throughout California who wish to understand how the LRFD specifications achieve a uniform and accepted level of bridge safety, and how to appropriately use the LRFD specifications plus the California Amendments for bridge design.

Local Agencies: This class and most Tech transfer classes are offered to local agencies at a reduced cost through Caltrans and the CA LTAP Center with funds from the Cooperative Technical Assistance Program (CTAP).
