Transit as a Safety Strategy

The National Center for Rural Road Safety and the National Local Technical Assistance Program (NLTAPA) Safety Work Group are co-hosting this FREE, 1.5-hour online webinar.
Public transit is considered one of the safest ways to travel, being ten times safer per mile than a car. Additionally, it decreases congestion, reduces the number of vehicles on the road, provides mobility for those who cannot or choose not to drive, and is a way to connect multiple modes of travel. This webinar will examine a case study from Colorado and hear about how their state and regional systems work together to keep communities and tourists alike moving safely.
