On Wednesday, September 10, 2025, from 1:00pm – 2:00pm PT and on Thursday, September 25, 2025, from 1:00pm – 2:00pm PT the Caltrans, Division of Local Assistance, Office of State Programs is offering virtual open office hours to provide guidance on the provisions detailed in the Interim Timely Use of Funds (ITUF) policy.
On June 27, 2025, the California Transportation Commission (Commission) adopted the 2025 ITUF Policy in response to the 2024 and 2025 Southern California Fires under Resolution G-25-51. The Commission recognized that the impact of these disasters extended to the timely delivery of transportation projects and made the ITUF Policy applicable to Active Transportation Program (ATP), Local Partnership Program (LPP), Solutions for Congested Corridors Program (SCCP) and Trade Corridor Enhancement Program (TCEP) projects in San Bernardino, Orange, Riverside, Los Angeles, and Ventura Counties. Additionally, the Commission staff will review individual project concerns that require customization and timely use of funds exceptions on a case-by-case basis.
