This two-day virtual training explores selecting and implementing low-cost measures for reducing fatalities and injuries caused by road departures and collisions with fixed objects as well as collisions at rural intersections.
After training, attendees will be able to:
- Explain the importance of reducing collisions and the challenges to fully implementing collision reduction techniques
- Identify roadway safety issues
- Describe low-cost measures for correcting safety issues by:
- Keeping the driver on the road
- Reducing or eliminating hazards in the clear zone
Audience: Anyone who has responsibility for road design, maintenance, safety, etc.
Note: To receive your certification of completion, you must attend both days.
