Office Bulletin (OB) 18-02 announces new policy for the Highway Bridge Program (HBP) regarding new project application processing. The new policy lays out:
- When new projects get programmed
- How they are prioritized
- Determination of what gets into the HBP
- When new projects can receive an authorization to proceed
This policy was developed because the demand on the HBP is greater than available funding. It was developed in consultation with the HBP Advisory Committee with the intent to meter projects into the program.
