The California Workforce Development Board is hosting a webinar on the High Road Construction Careers initiative and SB 1 Workforce Guidelines. The webinar will address standards for pre-apprenticeship in the construction trades developed pursuant to the Road Repair & Accountability Act of 2017 and based upon years of related workforce investments. Funding for pre-apprenticeship programs and training partnerships will also be covered.
The webinar is for local public agencies delivering SB 1-funded projects and organizations that are integral to strong regional training partnerships, including: local Building Trades Councils and apprenticeship coordinators, Local Workforce Development Boards, community-based organizations, and local educational institutions (e.g., adult high schools and community colleges).
