Berkeley TechTransfer offers more professional development classes in Transportation Engineering
As part of the Institute of Transportation Studies at UC Berkeley, TechTransfer is very excited to announce its ever-expanding portfolio of professional training classes in Transportation Engineering. Many of the most popular classes, being offered through this fall and next spring, are now open for enrollment and offered at a reduced rate for California’s public agency employees. These reduced prices are offered in partnership with the California Department of Transportation, Division of Local Assistance and are subsidized by the Cooperative Training Assistance Program to help local agencies get the training they need. Given the financial and time commitments required for traditional classroom training, it is not always a viable training solution for all public agencies. In response, TechTransfer has developed a robust online training program. Taken a few hours a day over several days, online courses provide the same quality of training as traditional classroom courses, while keeping fees and the time commitment for training as low as possible.
Online courses are great for groups, too. They are the most cost-effective training option for agencies, because there is no limit to the number of people that can attend from any single location. Groups of ten or more view online training sessions together. If you have a group you need trained and would like to do so for one low price, all you need is a conference room with an internet-connected computer, a monitor large enough for your whole team to see, and speakers so everyone can hear. Please note that when groups attend together, only one registered attendee is eligible to receive a certificate of attendance and any credits (CEUs and/or AICP CMs) that may be awarded for the course. Make sure that any team member who requires the credits awarded is registered in their own name and logs in individually for the course.
