MUTCD Notice of Proposed Amendments Webinars

Starting March 18, FHWA will conduct a series of public Webinars about the Notice of Proposed Amendments (NPA) as published in the Dec. 14, 2020, Federal Register notice. Each Webinar will include background information on navigating the comment process. All Webinars will start at 2 P.M. Eastern. Space is limited, so you’ll want to register early!

  • March 18, 2021 – Introduction and Overview
    An overview of the MUTCD revision process, highlights of some of the major changes proposed, and how you can participate in providing comment.  Register now for the March 18, 2021 Webinar.
  • March 25, 2021 – Pedestrians, Bicycles, and Transit
    Highlights of proposed changes related to traffic control devices for pedestrian, bicycle, and transit facilities.  Register now for the March 25, 2021 Webinar.
  • April 1, 2021 – Urban Traffic Control
    Highlights of proposed changes related to traffic control devices in urban centers and urbanized communities.  Register now for the April 1, 2021 Webinar.

A recording of each of the three Webinars will be made available at the MUTCD Web site so you can participate at your own pace.

About us.  The FHWA administers the national standards for Traffic Control Devices through the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways (MUTCD).  The mission of the National Traffic Control Devices program is to promote the safe and efficient operation of streets and highways through a uniform system of traffic signs, signals, and markings.

  1. Just wondering if there will be any more openings available for the Webinar “MUTCD Notice of Proposed Amendments”. As the spaces are currently all filled.
