These programs provide subsidized, practical training for transportation professionals in California’s cities, counties, and regional transportation agencies.

  • Federal Aid Series – Project Development: Design to Construction – November 2-3, 2021
  • Excavation and Trenching Safety Training (ARTBA) – November 30, 2021, or December 9, 2021
  • Labor Compliance – December 14-16, 2021

Active Transportation Resource Center Training (ATRC)
ATRC provides resources, technical assistance, and training to transportation partners across California to increase opportunity for the success of active transportation projects.

Bicycle Transportation: An Introduction to Planning and Design November 9, 2021 – 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
This one-day hands-on course explores the tools used to assess and evaluate the suitability of a transportation route and facilitate its use by all types of bicyclists. This course reviews California’s commitment to supporting all modes of transportation and provides an overview of basic bicycle planning and design standards, guidance, and tools. Through this course, participants will learn how to apply bicycle design concepts that best balance competing needs on a specific route.

  1. I was not aware of the Federal Aid Series Training that took place on November 2-3, 2021. Is it possible to obtain the information that was presented or watch a video of the training sessions?

      The FAS: Project Development training on November 2nd-3rd is listed with additional trainings on the California LTAP site: https://californialtap.org/index.cfm?pid=1077. Currently we are waiting to announce the next Project Development and hope to have further details later, please check the site for updates.
