Clean California Grant Recipients

Caltrans is funding nearly $300 million for 105 local projects throughout the State to beautify local streets, roads, parks, and pathways. These projects will generate more than 3,600 jobs, with every single project benefiting an underserved community.

Caltrans received more than 300 applications totaling $758 million – more than double the available funding – which were scored by a team of 144 evaluators. The awarded projects were selected based on demonstrated community benefit and need. The projects include a wide range of community enhancements, such as litter removal, landscaping and art installations, walking and bike paths, and other complete streets features that enhance safety and access to transportation. The grant recipients must complete their projects by June 30, 2024. The Governor’s California Blueprint proposes an additional $100 million to fund another round of Clean California local projects.

Congratulations to all the communities that will benefit from this investment and to the Clean California program for the culmination of such incredible work for the people of California!
