Immediate Action Required for Inactive Projects > 24 months

Please Invoice or Provide Justification by May 6, 2022

The Department of Transportation (Caltrans) Division of Local Assistance has been collaborating with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) to reduce the number of inactive projects especially those that have not been reimbursed for 24 months or greater with an unexpended federal funds of $50,000 or more. Local agencies are expected to invoice Caltrans regularly for projects in accordance with Section 630.106 of Title 23 in the Code of Federal Regulations.

Please review the documents listed below and work with your District Local Assistance Engineer (DLAE) to invoice or to provide justification for the projects in the Repeat Inactive List before May 6, 2022.
