February 2nd – 9:00 am – 11:45 am PT

Would you like to learn the minimum processes required to implement, administer, and monitor the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and Title VI programs for your local public agency? In two sessions, the Caltrans Division of Local Assistance (DLA) and Office of Civil Rights have you covered.

The DBE training will help Local Public Agencies (LPA) and Caltrans districts to better understand the DBE procedures to comply with the Local Assistance Procedure Manual (LAPM) and federal regulations. This training will include:
• DBE contract goal calculations
• Evaluation of Good Faith Efforts
• DBE procedures including pre-award requirements, required contract language, Commercial Useful Function evaluations, post-award monitoring and reporting, and completion of DLA forms

The ADA and Title VI training will cover the minimum requirements to comply with the LAPM and federal regulations, and best practices to help your LPA succeed. The Caltrans DLA team will walk attendees through the ADA and Title VI requirements and provide examples for LPAs to use as templates as they build and improve upon their ADA and Title VI programs.
