California Department of Fish & Wildlife (CDFW) Training

The California Department of Fish & Wildlife (CDFW) presents this 2-hour training detailing the impact of Senate Bill 790 and how it relates to wildlife connectivity, and the process for obtaining an Endangered Species Act Consistency Determination. This training is recommended for all industry professionals involved in securing, planning, and implementing environmental permits for construction projects and mitigating their environmental impact.

Course Overview
In this training, the first presentation will provide an overview of SB 790 including Fish & Game Codes §1955-1958 that enable CDFW’s draft Wildlife Connectivity Mitigation Guidelines for Conservation & Mitigation Banks and Mitigation Credit Agreements.

The second presentation will describe the California Endangered Species Act (CESA) Consistency Determination (CD) process, including the laws that enable CDs, common issues, and best practices to help the CD process flow more smoothly.
