NEW! Institute of Transportation Engineers’ (ITE) Using Video Analysis and AI to Progress Safety Webinar
December 19, 2024
11:00 am to 12:30 pm PT

Traditionally, roadways and intersections are evaluated post-construction with crash data, observational data, and occasionally ground-based radar devices. Field observations of speeds, conflicts, and user interactions rely heavily on the observer’s judgment, which is, at best, imprecise. These presenters use video analytics (vehicles and other users) and artificial intelligence to predict conflicts and potential serious and fatal crashes for modern roundabouts, intersections, and roadways.
